Italian Olympiad in Informatics: 10 Years of the Selection and Education Process

Abstract

This article describes the selection and training process of the Italian Committee for the International Olympiad in Informatics to identify and prepare the Italian team members participating in the international olympiad. Special attention is dedicated to the first step in the selection process, which involves schools from all over the country. Examples of problems submitted to the contestants in this first selection phase are also provided.
