The IOI Regulations describe the objectives and the general form of the IOI, the responsibilities of the host country and the participating countries, and the role of the various official IOI bodies.

The IOI Regulations are still in a process of evolution. In the past, regulations were put together for each IOI separately. Early regulations are available in printed form only.- Regulations was approved by the General Assembly in Tsukuba, Japan at IOI 2018.
